With Stabicad you can make use of generic MEP content, i.e. content that is not specific to a manufacturer. When working with generic content you can still specify what kind of material the content is made of (e.g. copper or steel pipes). 

Manufacturer specific content is also available within Stabicad - in addition to the base geometry of the BIM objects available in the generic content, these BIM objects also contain parameters such as article number, manufacturer name, technical specifications and even a deep link to the documentation of this specific article. 

Manufacturer specific content via MEPcontent is more detailed than the BIM objects found in Stabicad, containing article information, correct dimensions and technical data. This content is ideal for large equipment, such as chillers, boilers, as well as specialised valves.
